ELEVEN MINUTES BY PAULO COELHO: THE REVIEW

Honestly, until now I still feel worry whether this article is qualified enough to portray my opinion over the novel by Paulo Coelho entitled Eleven Minutes. But because many friends and readers who are really curious about my review of Eleven Minutes, now bravely I posted this article to represent my feeling and opinion about this Paulo Coelho novel. Okey, then lets start my review of Paulo Coelho’s work.

First thing first I won’t give long details about my opinion over this novel since I feel that I don’t have any rights to give judgment about this novel, I will just describe my deepest feeling about my experience in reading this poetic novel. I feel really enjoy read this novel and even I could finish it in a day without getting bored and taking long rest to read it. This enjoyment is not only because the interesting story but also because of the choice of words which made me easily understand every words in this novel. However, this novel is still not losing the poetic essence. It’s also being the strong factor of why I really impressed with Eleven Minutes. Paulo Coelho knows exactly how to make simple plot being such inspirational story (based on my perspective of course). Just like what he did in The Alchemist, in Eleven Minutes Paulo Coelho also spread “unique” perspective through the story of young Brazilian girl named Maria. He built the journey of Maria into such deep life story of pure young Brazilian girl who was forced to be night lady. To be precise, the characters of Maria as the central of the story who was on the one side looked so weak since she didn’t have any choice except being the object sex of “customer” but on the other side she was actually strong enough since she actually had a choice but she chose to stick with her choice as a night lady in a land far from her hometown.

Beside the unique character of Maria and the understandable poetic words, Paulo Coelho also popped in with inspirational words about life and sex. The last point is also being the root of the title. So, if you are mature enough to understand about life and sex, I recommend you to read this novel because it will open your mind wider to see life and sex in different perspective.
